SID: Hello. Sid Roth your mentor in the supernatural. I’m here with Ron Ballenger and this is so phenomenal. A 16 year old kid has polio. He’s confined to a wheelchair. His fingers are so gnarled up he can’t even straighten them; cancer, bone cancer throughout his entire body. No hope but death. No one touches him. He says a simple prayer: Jesus, forgive me of my sins and become my Lord and Savior. That simple! And the presence of God comes upon him; and you said you heard God’s voice. What did he say to you?
RON: Well, He told me He loved me; said His love had no beginning and no end. And He said “I’ll be your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, your food, your clothes, and your money.” And he said “now you go and tell what I’ve done for you.”
SID: Now you have a tendency of not answering this type of a question, but I’m going to take a chance and ask you anyway. What did His love, what did it feel like experiencing His love?
RON: It was just awesome. I mean, it was the first time that I ever really felt love in my entire life. Because all of my life I had heard that I was the hopeless case; that nothing ever could be good for me. And when Jesus Himself said that He loved me, it was just more than I could take.
SID: Ok. His parents thought he was meshuga – crazy; and they put him in a mental institution. The doctors said this man, this young kid, is a genius; 16 years old and he speaks all of these foreign languages. But Ron didn’t speak any foreign languages; they were by the Spirit of God. They were called supernatural languages. They released him. His parents didn’t know what to do with him; they wanted….so they just said “Go! Go with your Jesus.” But Jesus said He would take care of you. So you left with the clothing on your back. How much money did you have?
RON: Nothing. I had nothing.
SID: Nothing. So what does a 16 year old…I mean that’s nice having that promise from Jesus but how did you eat? How did you support yourself?
RON: Well the Lord just took care of me.
SID: Give me an example.
RON: God let me find money on street, then I preached on the street corners and people gave me money.
SID: Out of curiosity, you didn’t know a whole lot about anything. 16 years old, no money, no food, no shelter, no clothing beyond what you were wearing. When you prayed for people were they healed?
RON: They were healed.
SID: Tell me one of the first ones that you prayed for that was healed.
RON: This one had a seizure right on the street where I was preaching, and the mother said “Please, would you pray for my child?” And God instantly, instantly, healed that child right in front of those people. So that made more people come and so different people would come to be prayed for, but the merchants were complaining because I was on the street blocking their store. So the police came and the policeman told me “Little boy, you’re going to have to stop this because the merchants are complaining.” And so, one policeman said to me, “You see the mailbox over here?” And I said “Yeah.” He said “Well the next time you see us coming, go jump up on the mailbox and we can’t bother you. It’s government property.”
SID: Aww, you’re teasing me.
RON: No.
SID: Did you jump on the mailbox?
RON: Yes I did. The next time I saw them coming, I went over to the mailbox and the Holy Spirit just picked me up and set me on the mailbox; and I just finished my sermon and the police just came and walked by; never said nothing.
SID: Did you ever have a visitation to heaven?
RON: Yes.
SID: Tell me about that.
RON: Well I was clinically dead seven minutes. The sheet already covered my head. And when I was on the way to heaven…
SID: What happened? What was wrong with you?
RON: I had cancer.
SID: Ok.
RON: I had cancer of the stomach.
SID: So it was not the bone cancer. It was a different cancer.
RON: No, it was a different cancer.
SID: Ok. My goodness, that cancer is no friend of yours.
RON: No, no. And when I got to what I would say is heaven; there were beautiful gates and the gates opened and Jesus was standing there. And He took me like this here and started walking arm in arm with me. And I heard the most beautiful, beautiful singing; and we walked and walked through heaven. The most beautiful flowers and little branches of water, and like little bridges and things; and this huge amphitheater was nothing but angels like a choir. And they were singing “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty” and then they started bowing when Jesus got there. And then Jesus said to me “You’ll have to go now.” “I want you to tell some more people about me.” But said “Next time you come you won’t have to leave.” So I went back to the place that I came in. And then when I came to, I was laying on this bed with a sheet over my head; and I just took it and folded it and sat up. And there was a nurse in the room, and she had her back to me, and I just said “Ahem” like that. Well, she like to tore the wall down.
SID: I can imagine (laughing).
RON: I mean she took off running, screaming and by then all these people come with the machines you know. And this one doctor said “I cannot believe. Somebody dies and don’t stay dead.”
SID: What happened to your stomach cancer?
RON: God just healed me.
SID: You really serve a God of miracles. What did you tell me, you had at least seven diseases, or was it twelve?
RON: I was given up on over twelve, medically. But I was in the last stage. The cancers that I had were always the last stage. But God healed me. I went down to like 115 pounds and God healed me.
SID: So why is God still keeping you here? What reason?
RON: Because He’s not through with me.
SID: But what does He want you to do?
RON: He still wants me to tell people about Him.
SID: But what I understand is, he has such compassion that He’ll spend His time with just one person. Somehow I believe that that’s natural. All the other stuff that we see on the screen, sometimes I feel like it’s all contrived. You know something? God is real. God is interested in you as an individual. It is not an accident that you’re watching this show. What God did for Ron, He’ll do for you. Let me tell you this: there is nothing impossible for God. I want to tell you about a heavenly visitation that he had when he was dying. Be right back after this.
