Sid: Hello. Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world where it’s naturally supernatural. You know why I’m so excited? Because just before this show started, just a few minutes before this show started, He arrived. The Spirit of the Living God invaded our studio. I’m here with Lydia Stanley. And Lydia, as you’ll find out, was created to lead worship. And there is a wonderful move of some of the greatest verified miracles I’ve ever seen in my life going on in Mobile, Alabama, Bay of the Holy Spirit, and Lydia is the worship leader. And if you know much about the miraculous without the foundation of the Levites, of the worship people, you just don’t see the miracles. And Lydia, as you’ll find out shortly, was created for this. But I’m going to take in a moment to one of the greatest verified miracles I’ve ever heard of. A woman was in an automobile accident. For 23 years, she was confined to a wheelchair. Lydia, I understand her husband never saw her walk.
Lydia: That’s right.
Sid: He married her after she was in the chair. That’s absolutely right. He married her in the wheelchair and had never, ever seen her take steps until August the 27th of 2010.
Sid: Tell me about that moment. We’re gonna see it in a moment, but kind of set it up.
Lydia: Right. Well Delia Knox is a good friend of mine and we’ve led worship together many, many times. And I’ll never forget, Sid, when they wheeled her in that night. I looked down from the platform and I waived at her and she waived at me, and I thought, I said, “Jesus, while you’re healing people tonight, please get my friend up out of that chair.” And so Nathan called her out and—
Sid: Nathan is the young evangelist from England that, I have to tell you, I’m impressed with him because he’s so impressed with God. That’s why I’m impressed with him. I mean, he’s such a pure vessel. So take it from there again.
Lydia: Well he called her out. And what I love is that Nathan never tried to pull her up out of the chair. He never tried to make her uncomfortable.
Sid: I see that often. And if I was in that position I think after the fifth or sixth time, I’d resent it.
Lydia: It would be hard, wouldn’t it?
Sid: Yes.
Lydia: All he prayed was, “Father, let faith arise.” And she stood up on own. And at that point I got out from behind that keyboard and I pulled my ear monitors off and I jumped down in the congregation because I had told her in, I guess it was 2008, I said, “I’ve never seen anybody deal with a challenge like you have with kind of dignity and grace. But the day will come, and mark my words, I will dance with you when you get out of that chair.”
Sid: But I have to ask you this question because you’re a friend of hers. The implication I had was the first nine or 10 years that she was in the chair she was believing God for all she was worth, and then she just kind of gave up.
Lydia: Right. Well her determination at that point, you know, she’s talked about it, was that whether or not the Lord ever healed her, that she would worship him.
Sid: You know, I feel that way. Whether the Lord ever does anything for me again, ever, I will not stop worshiping Him. I mean, because that’s my air. I’m not a dummy. I like air. I like oxygen.
Lydia: There you go. Well He doesn’t owe us anything. The cross was enough. The cross was more than enough. So her determination at that point was, I’m gonna be a worshipper, whatever else I am. And you know, I think that may be one of the reasons why the Lord came to her was that she wasn’t necessarily looking for him to do something, but because He loves her so much and because she is such a worshipper and her heart was pure, I think the Lord just touched her in that moment.
Sid: You knew she was going to be healed before that evening.
Lydia: Yeah.
Sid: You literally prophesied to her.
Lydia: Yeah.
Sid: Let’s take a look. I’m going to tell you something. This is one of the, 23 years in a wheelchair. Her husband never saw her walk. Let’s take a look.
Nathan: Come here, Pastor. Come here. Is that you wife? Please bring your wife. The power of God is all over this sister right now. She normally has no feelings, but she can feel our hands on her legs. She’s had no feeling in her legs. Pastor, tell them what’s happened.
Pastor: The power of God, something is taking place right now. The Spirit of God is upon Delia.
Delia: I’m feeling your hands on my legs. I could feel sensation before, but I couldn’t feel actual feeling.
Nathan: This dear sister has no damage. The Lord is restoring the sensation in her legs. Keep worshipping. Come on.
Woman: Come on, church. Come on worship!
Nathan: Give sister dear another shout!
Sid: There’s no other word but, wow. And you may not have realized that. But you see, when someone for 23 years doesn’t use their limbs they’re atrophied. There’s no muscles. So even if God heals you, you don’t have strength. And that’s why she was straining. But Lydia, when she was putting one foot in front of the other, what was going on inside of you? What?
Lydia: I thought, my goodness, look at the determination of a worshipper right there. She, I mean, those steps that she was stepping when she started pulling her knees up, I was right down in the huddle with her because if she was walking I was gonna be right in the thick of it.
Sid: I know that.
Lydia: And she keep going, “Keep worshipping. I find strength when you worship. I find strength when you worship!” And just picking those knees up. And I thought, wow, for the first time in 23 years the brain is communicating with those nerves again.
Sid: Okay. And then you saw two months later after her muscles had grown back, and she was literally leading worship, what you saw at the end of that. But I’ll tell you the thing that grabbed me the most, I saw video footage of her in long high heels. I mean, can you picture someone that is paralyzed? It was from the neck down?
Lydia: From the waist down.
Sid: From the waist down. Can you picture someone paralyzed from the waist down for 23 years? And they were long high heels.
Lydia: Stilettos. Absolutely. The pastor laughed about that and he said, “She’s walking in style now.”
Sid: Okay. I want you to find out what God did to make Lydia the worship leader of this great revival, because he went to a lot of trouble to do this. And we’ll be right back after this word.
