Sid: My guest by way of telephone is Isaiah Reed shortly we’ll be talking to his wife Carol Reed. We found out at the height, or depth if you will, his drug and prostitution career was making $27 Million a year. So they were celebrating they had a 3 day Christmas party, but one of your prostitutes had a problem. What happened Isaiah?
Isaiah: Well I was going to kind of defuse the whole situation, Paul the other drug dealer the undercover police officer suggested that I do something to defuse it. So I offered her money, she didn’t want the money she turned that down. I offered her some more cocaine, cocaine was the drug of choice for her, she didn’t want any more crack or any more cocaine she turned that down. As matter of fact she knocked the drugs out of my hand, and so I got upset and jumped up to get ready to knock her out to punch her in her face; when I drew my fist back something in me said “Let me pray for you.” I began to pray with her, you know of course several other things transpired during that time, but I began to pray for her and we all begin to pray and call on the name of the Lord…
Sid: We found out on yesterday’s broadcast that this woman was suicidal so that’s why he began to pray. BUT WAIT A SECOND ISAIAH! Why were you praying? Why You?
Isaiah: That’s a good question. I really don’t know where that came from at that particular time.
Sid: [Laughing]
Isaiah: Of course I know now it was the supernatural Spirit of God touching my heart, and setting me up for salvation. I think I heard you quote “He will pour out His Spirit upon ALL flesh.” All means all, it means those that are in His will, those that are out of His will, those that have different color flesh, and I just happen to meet that criteria being still in the flesh. So really I had no intentions on being saved or converted, or going to church. Basically to be honest with you I just wanted Lisa to shut up, sit down, let us continue to get high, and make some money, but I opened the door, I knocked on the door I stumbled into something that I had no intentions on stumbling into. Didn’t pray religiously, you know I hadn’t prayed since I was a kid. Just basically went to kicking it with the air just talking to myself. Really off the side of my neck just trying to appease Lisa so hopefully this would work and that she would go sit down in a corner somewhere. So I went to kicking it I just said “Check this You the man upstairs, you know, this jingle bell season you dig what I’m saying and whatever you want to do do it Lisa’s down here tripping so why don’t you give her a chill pill so she can chill. We appreciate it” and I said “We’re going to sign off and you know it was great kicking it with you and I’ll rap to you later.” But after I…
Sid: I never heard anyone pray like that before, but go ahead. [Laughing]
Isaiah: I began to hear the Lord speak back to me, of course I thought somebody was playing a trick on me, or running a game on me. So I begin to look around, but what really got my total attention was the voice called me by name. It said “Isaiah what about you?” When that question was posed to me it was not only a question, but it was so much in my mind and my conscience that I understood exactly that it meant that I really didn’t want to live that way. If I had an opportunity to ever live another way that I would take the chance. So in this audible voice it was not only my name being called but it was so much substance in Him speaking my name that I knew that here’s 3 years I had a second chance, you know I was murdered pronounced dead. Nobody knew I was still alive, bullets in my brain and my spine, and I’m still a junky so much a junky that I had Hepatitis-C, HIV. Having a second chance did not only change me, but I’m worse. So if this opportunity was real why shouldn’t I take it I didn’t have nothing to lose, but if it wasn’t real I was going to be so disappointed that I told this voice, this God, this entity that I’m going to prove that He’s a liar and I was going to kill everybody in the room just to show Him that I was so evil not even the supernatural could change me. So I said “Yes do whatever you’ve got to do, and if you show me the light I’ll follow you.” In that instance, now I believe everyone in the room heard the voice of the Lord speaking we ended up on the floor crying and repenting, and everybody in that room was converted and gave their heart over to the Lord. Not only that we were clean after 27 years of being a heroin addict, getting methadone from the government being on maintenance, and Hepatitis and all these diseases; not only was totally delivered of drugs was also clean in my blood stream, and clean in my mind. That was the miracle…
Sid: Are you telling me you were instantly were not addicted after all those years?
Isaiah: It was so instantly I remember when I was sitting in the cell for my methadone to come because I got arrested after that, waiting for my methadone to come. I remember yelling at the other cell Paul, Sheila, and Lisa asking them was they sick. They said “No we didn’t get sick yet.” Now we have always gotten sick which is withdrawals, detox, we have always gotten sick. By right they have to bring you the methadone even to the holding cell. So we was waiting for the methadone and it didn’t come and the guy was being rather belligerent. I said “You know what I’m not sick yet” and we waited all night for the sickness to come and it never came.
Sid: Now you were supposed to serve 20 years for your crime and you ended up serving only 5 years. When you got out you called one of your former prostitutes and you said you wanted to marry her. How did that happen?
Isaiah: Well a lot took place, you know… the Lord had spoken to the gentleman who had a prison ministry Pastor Joseph Leaf. Anyway the long and the short of that is he saw a picture of my wife who was one of my prostitutes at that time her name was Carol, they called her Sugar. He said the Lord spoke to him in the spirit prophetically that she would be my wife. I said “I’m never going to marry her. I got rid of her, the last fight we had she stabbed me in the chest with a butcher knife. The woman’s crazy…

Isaiah: The long and short of that is after I went through this transformation Went to prison got out of prison for 2 years went to a rehabilitation center which was Pastor Jo’s which is called “My Brother’s Keeper.” Then I had to go back for the crimes I did, got a 20 year sentence stayed 3 more years… anyway God blessed us and I went to school and got an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. The government decided to release me, and I called my wife from prison and I said…
Sid: Were you married at the time?
Isaiah: No we wasn’t married.
Sid: Okay.
Isaiah: Speaking in the present tense. She was still a prostitute, she was still exotic dancer, and she was in other relationships. I proposed to her while she was still actively in another relationship and she was having children in these other relationships as well. I just stood on what I believed at that particular time the prophetic word, and I asked her to marry me. So the timing was perfect she said. There she was with another man in the bed they had been in the bed or whatever, and she said “Yeah I’ll marry you” then I hung up. The pastor sent for her, and the long and the short of that she came to… still not saved, you know still living her lifestyle. As a matter of fact when she came to our church she had crack cocaine in her purse. The Lord begin to minister to her and speak to her, I guess…
