Sid: My guest Randy Clark and there are only a few people that I know that not only have the goods but can teach it and transfer the anointing for healing and deliverance. Randy you graduate from Bible School; Baptist Bible School and obviously you become a Senior Pastor of a Baptist Church. Open to things of the Spirit but not but more an evangelical Baptist Church. And one day God starts to speaking to you; what did He say?
Randy: He said “He wanted me to teach in this church that I still heal today and that God still heals today; to have a conference in the church on healing and to preach differently; to preach in the church on healing and to preach differently more of His words and less of mine. No more 3 points and a poem.
Sid: That’s such an important statement God made to you. He honors His word not ours. Not talks about politics about any of these issues; it’s His words where the power is. Okay, and what else did He tell you?
Randy: Well, one was about having the conference and when I immediately tried to get a hold of somebody to come and do a conference for me I ended up God providentially actually introduced me to John Wimber by television. And I called him and he said he couldn’t come but he could send a team to my church and the following March they came and I’d gone to see John in January in Dallas Texas and we touched myself.
Sid: Now, my the way I understand that John didn’t even tell you this but he received a prophetic word for you when he was praying for you; what was John Wimber’s word for you?
Randy: Yeah, the first 2 times John met me he heard the audible voice of God which is very rare for John. That said that “I would be one of two guys that he was going to send around the world and we would be used powerfully to pray for people who would be activated in the gifts of the Spirit or be filled or baptized in the Spirit. And I was one and the other guy was Blaine Cook.
Sid: So this team comes to your nice evangelical Baptist Church and was Blaine in that team?
Randy: He was leading it.
Sid: Awe, okay what happened?
Randy: Well, all heaven broke loose to be honest. It was amazing I saw more people healed in 3 days then I’d seen in my whole life. I had people who were coal miners, school teachers, janitors, engineers who had never heard of any of these things like words of knowledge and prophecy. And they begin to have very clear and very precise words of knowledge; we begin to see people get healed. The first healing the first major healing was a little girl who need her eyes; surgery on her eyes and she got healed. And then she was healed of spinal spina bifida and hydrocephalus the next night. And my wife was majorly touched in the emotional way and it was just an amazing thing. That was the thing that changed my life and my life; my life is really before and after that event those 3 days.
Sid: And you really had impartation from John Wimber and impartation from Blaine Cooke. Tell me what you did about this after the revival, after the team leaves what happened.
Randy: Well, first of all let me share what I meant when I said I had this impartation. I felt like electricity, so much electricity going through my body that all my joints ached the next day like I’d walked into an electric fence on a farm. And as a result of it though I just began to give away everything that I received. And began to do little conferences on healing all over that part of the state. I would take people from my church with me and we would tell people what we were learning. And we just immediately started giving away and teaching what we had received and teaching on healing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. And just immediately started doing that; I always told somebody that they should have locked this one guy he’s an engineer his name was John. They should have locked and I away for about 2 or 3 weeks because we just got in our cars and we would actually drive through small towns in Southern Illinois looking for somebody on a crutch or somebody to pray for. We were so excited to learn about this present day ministry of healing.
Sid: Now I want to speed forward and now how have things changed you obviously had the paradigm of John Wimber of how to pray for the sick but how is it differ today for you?
Randy: Well, there was constant continual for a decade of praying for the sick and seeing a lot more happen than we’d ever seen. I could put on one hand the first healings I saw the first 14 years of being a Pastor. Then after this impartation with Blaine we saw more happen in a month than we saw in 14 years on every month. And then for 10 years we went at that pace and then Toronto happened. And in the intervening time I don’t want to chase to other experiences of impartation. One I thought I was going to die from the power and the other was just peace. And then I went to Toronto and the revival broke out in Toronto that went 12 ½ years 6 nights a week. And immediately then we began to go all over the world; but in January 1995 in Melbourne, Florida I had meeting there and Charlotte, North Carolina and those 2 weeks 3 weeks it was I saw more people get healed than I’d seen the first 25 years of my ministry put together and I don’t know why. It wasn’t like we followed a 40 day fast; we’d done that a couple of times. It wasn’t like someone just laid hands on us it just I think that that was one of the times that after 25 years of knocking and asking and seeking and not giving up it finally opened in a bigger way.
Sid: And that’s the key; not giving up. How easy would it had been for you to just settle where you were at and say “Well, that’s the way it is.”
Randy: Yeah, I think part of it was just believing there was just more; that’s really the heartbeat of my life; just believe there is more and I’m still believing that there is more than what I have now. And we’re seeing things happen now that we didn’t see in the last 4 years we’ve seen breakthroughs.
Sid: What are you seeing now?
Randy: Well, we’re seeing people with all types of metal surgeries or with metal or other substance put in their body by surgeons and it’s caused them to have chronic pain or loss of range of motion. And I did my doctoral study on verifying these healings and you know I had a medical team working with me and the psychiatrist; and the former professor of Harvard giving me advice. Secular religious studies of the Indiana University speaking into my life and so we’re seeing these things happen. It’s just been quite amazing the kind of healings that we’re seeing.
Sid: Tell me one specific person that had metal that was would you say was changed a bone? What would you say happened to them
Randy: Well, we had 900 in the last 4 years get healed. And we’ve had over 100 studied in the study itself. Some of them just couldn’t move at all they couldn’t more their wrist; they couldn’t move their arm; they couldn’t move their shoulders.
Sid: This was 900 people with metal in their bodies?
Randy: Yes.
Sid: Okay.
Randy: And September the 9th of 2009 that there 900 people testifying that they were healed; at least 80% better. Now that’s significant because in the medical field if you’d had a failed surgery if you can move on a 1 to 10 point 10 is escrusiating pain and 0 is not pain. If you can get the scales to move 1 that’s successful; 2 points is very successful. And we had an average of about 6 points of improvement and for some it was 100% but that is significant in the medical field. Because there is very little hope once you’ve had failed back surgery.
Sid: Tell me about the recent meetings you had in Ashuah, Canada.
Randy: Oh, yeah we were Ashua, Canada and this one night actually we thought the meeting was almost over and my Assistant Paul had put up our camera that we used to try to catch the testimonies with. And because it was that late in the evening and he’d gone out to sell some products. And I had to call him back in because all of a sudden a woman who had just turned 19 years old who was born without ability to smell anything got her smell; sense of smell it just came. Another woman who came into the meeting on one of those little electrified carts.
Sid: Right.
Randy: A wheelchair that’s electrified was sitting in the back and all of a sudden she walked out of it. The people knew her she went to that church and she’s walking down the aisle the people are going crazy; they’re hugging her and she’s weeping and she had all of these problems in her body. And then then there was another woman older had to walk on 2 canes not one cane but 2 canes and the power of God hit her; she threw the canes away and was dancing. It was an amazing night (Laughing)
Sid: You know I have your tools right in front of me Randy; your book “The Essential Guide to Healing.” You co-offered that with Bill Johnson; what feedback do you get from people that read this book?
Randy: Well, that book is actually used at seminary that I got my Doctorate in at the Masters level now for healing. They think it’s the best book that they’ve read. The two last chapters that I wrote one is on how do you pray for the sick; how do you in a dependent way; how do you hear from the Lord and see what He’s doing and bless what He’s doing. I explain all of that in the most detailed way I have anywhere is in that book. And how to get words of knowledge is in one of the last two chapters as well. And every time I’ve taught on how to get words of knowledge or taught about how to pray people have entered into a new level. And I’ve never had a time where I’ve taught words of knowledge that people didn’t get words of knowledge in that service before they left.
