Sid: My guest by way of telephone she’s red hot for the Messiah her name is Mary Jo Clouse I’m speaking to her at her home at Lake Mary, Florida. The past 7 years she’s been one of the featured speakers at Charisma Women’s Conference. And the thing that impressed me is that people keep coming back year after year and saying “You know the teaching that you gave me has set me free.” And we’re talking to her this week about her new book called “Getting Free” it’s so simplistic that you’ll be able to identify curses in your life generational curses that you haven’t been free and some of you have been believers in Messiah 20 years. But you’re going to free by reading this book and following the directions and many are going to get free right on this broadcast. Mary Jo tell us how to get free.
Mary Jo: I would like to talk about the fact that I recognized that I had a curse on my life because there was un-natural death in my family and they were premature death and they died very young. And the other thing that you can if you had a lot of disturbed sleep, nightmares, headaches, generational alcoholism, depression, car accidents, unexplained fatigue these are good indications that you are under a curse, suicidal thoughts, memory lapses, hammered breathing, outburst of anger, heart palpitation and again I want to emphasize the premature death in families running in especially in one gender of the family those are the indications that there’s a curse. Now to get rid of that you have to recognize that there’s a curse you have to admit that you’re not under the blessing of the Lord. Now sin is the first and the foremost reason for that curse, disobedience to God’s word. So if you recognize that you have a curse here’s the steps that you take number 1) if you’re going to spoil the strongman’s house you first have to go in and bind the strong man. And then when you bind the strong man you can take back his goods. And the word of God tells us that if we catch a thief stealing and he’s stealing our goods and it’s in his house then we can go back through the name and the blood of Jesus and we can make him pay back 7 fold. And Deuteronomy 1:11 says “God wants to bless us a 1000 times more than we’ve ever been blessed in our life. So if you recognize that you have a curse I want you to repent and repent means that you ask God to forgive of that sin. And you turn away you turn around and you turn away from it. And you make an act of your will you make up your mind not to do that again. Now if tomorrow you do that same thing again immediately fall on your knees and repent don’t think that God gives up on you because you messed up 1 time or 2 times or 20. He owns the ball and the bat and your holding the bat in your hand He’s pitching the ball and you can keep batting until you win. So as you repent of that then you renounce it by renouncing it you’re saying to Satan “Hey I might have had opened a legal door for you to come thru but now I renounce your right to even touch me because the blood of Jesus stands between you and me and I am liberated from the curse of the law and I am free by the name and the blood of Jesus Christ and I command you to get off of my property and to get out of my house and get away from my children, get off of my finances.” And at that point you actually release yourself from the power of Satan and so I want us to talk about… there’s 7 more steps that I use that might help you to put your faith in God’s word. See everything that you do as a Christian should be based on the word of God. If you go to work for an employer you read that employment manual and you abide by that manual and you’re a good employee you will get raises and promotions and be able to stay on that job. And the same thing with God He puts those laws in His word not to put you in bondage but to bring you out of bondage because He knew the way that we were made up and we were natural rebellious and kind of wanting to trust in ourselves and He wants us to lean on Him, trust on Him, rely on Him because that’s what a believer is a believer is one that leans on Him and relies on Him so confess your faith in Christ Jesus commit yourself to be obedient to God. Confess any known sins of yourself and your ancestors that releases you from curses. Forgive anyone who has ever hurt you. The word of God says that whoever sins you remit or admitted it says you retain if you are holding on to some grudge 25 years ago about something someone said or did to you I’m telling you child of God you can be set free you don’t have to feel that humiliation and the guilt and the shame when you think about that person you can be free of that and God wants you free. He wants you to be dangerous to the devil and a joy to Him. You can renounce all contact with occult object, secret societies, books, jewelry, any statues that you might have connected with the occult you need to get rid of it. And release yourself through the name and blood of Jesus from any curse. I would like to pray with you that if there is anyone in the audience that you never received Jesus as you Lord and Saviour it’s as simple as saying “Lord come into my heart and be Lord of my life, forgive me of my sins” and that guilt and sin is broken off of you. And now just repeat after me as I pray this: “Father God in the name of Jesus.”
