AUDIENCE: Yes Lord!
STEVE: Elijah heard the sound of God’s voice and therefore God said it will rain so Elijah heard the sound of rain! You need to hear the sound! Sound is creative! Sound makes everything! Did you know that light is made up of wavelengths and sound is made up of wavelengths? Did you know that light and sound are the same thing? They’re just moving at different spectrums of wavelengths at different speeds. Do you know the Bible says that God is light? He is revealing Himself even in the natural realm. But God said: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” And so God is saying I am My Word and My Word is Me and I’ve exalted My Word above My name because that’s Me! Well God is both the sound and the light! And so when you hear the Word of God you’re actually hearing the light of God! Oh hallelujah!
AUDIENCE: Glory!
STEVE: The Bible declares that He said go to his servant; Go and now look toward the sea. The Lord spoke to me in this verse and He shared with me that His children are looking in the wrong places for His movement! You don’t look over land for a cloud. You look over the sea for the cloud! You see here’s the amazing thing that you can understand. Boy, I just want your discouragement to die! I want the give-up in you to die! I want you to realize that God’s power is all around you! Moisture is all around but he said I’m looking where the moisture is because all that moisture is going to come together! See what’s happening is God’s power is all around but when you believe God and you look in the right places for God then you’re going to see a moving together of the potential power of God and it will become kinetic power of God! STEVE: Amen! Are you with me?
AUDIENCE: Yes!
STEVE: Thank God because I wouldn’t want you against me!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
STEVE: Thank God! “He looked up at the sea. He went and looked and said there is nothing.” Wow! Verse 43: The servant comes back and says there is nothing. This is where faith comes alive! This is where you’ve got to know the Word of God! This is where you’ve got to say well there isn’t anything. All right servant, I guess we got it wrong. It wasn’t God’s will. NO! You must know that you know that you know that you know that you know that you know that you know that you know what God said because there’s another liar and the very first thing that he did was attack God’s Word in Genesis chapter 3. In Genesis chapter 3 he said, did God say That dirty, dirty liar. The same thing is happening today! You see what we do and a major problem in the West indeed the whole world is we take the Gospel and we need to add to it. Anytime you take the Word of God and then you add your reason to it it’s no longer pure. It’s not God’s Word! That’s a new creation! So a lot of people don’t know that they think they’re following the Messiah but they’re actually following man’s thoughts about the Messiah! No miracle power comes! We work with people consistently enabling them to understand more accurately the Word of God and immediately God says now that’s me! I’ll be with that! Do you know that Joshua had an encounter with Jesus. They call it a theophany. He was the captain of the hosts of the armies of God and he says to this captain, this mighty warrior. are you for us? And that mighty warrior, the appearance of Jesus, he said, I am neither for you or against you. I am for God. Folks, the question wasn’t is God for me The question is am I for God? His Word is already for you! It is God who redeems! God who justifies! Hallelujah!
AUDIENCE: Hallelujah!
STEVE: When we get in alignment with God’s Word even when the servant comes back and said there’s nothing, have you ever had that happen to you pray and it’s like nothing happened. And then so what did he say to him again, He said, and seven times go again. Mm! Hallelujah! I’m preaching myself happy.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER] Amen!
STEVE: Woo! Jesus, God wants to see faith! God likes faith. Do you know people think that God’s going to move to the person who’s just crying out because they’re in pain. God responds to covenant on the earth. God responds. His compassion will reach the people in pain but His power is released to the people who align themselves with His Word!
AUDIENCE: [CLAPPING]
STEVE: That’s why if it didn’t work the first time you go again! And it didn’t work again you go again but you don’t change the covenant promise of God!
AUDIENCE: Amen! Amen!
STEVE: If you change that which was sent to deliver you you’re in trouble! And one thing we need to have greater fear of in the body of Christ is changing the Word of God! No prophecy of scripture ever came by the will of man but holy men moved by the Holy Spirit. They wrote it down. The Bible was written over larger than a 1500-year period in 3 different continents by 40 different men in 3 different languages but it has one author!
AUDIENCE: Amen!
STEVE: And the revelation of the Word is actually one story and one plan and His name is Jesus the Messiah!
AUDIENCE: Hallelujah! [CLAPPING]
STEVE: Hallelujah! We need to see right now that they went seven times and many of you may know that seven is symbolic in the Bible. It’s God’s time! It’s symbolic of God. You hold God’s Word until you see! You don’t give up! The devil is testing you. How long you will hold it? How long will you believe it? But I’ll tell you we’ve got to hold the Word of God until! I love Jacob, I can’t wait to be with him because he taught me I won’t let go of thee until you bless me! God said I’m going to change your name! You will now be prince and heir of God! That’s the name of Israel, heir and prince of God. You may call me Prince Steve; I will answer to it.
