SID: Stephanie, I am so glad God raised you up to help us with dreams. Why are dreams so important?
STEPHANIE: Well, we have the opportunity every single night of our lives to actually get a download from Heaven. What a privilege we have that Jesus would speak to us directly in a dream, give us wisdom, knowledge and revelation, and open up our heart so we can see the things in the spirit realm. It’s an amazing gift.
SID: Why are so many people discouraged? I see these books, they just– You know, it’s just too much. It shouldn’t be so complex.
STEPHANIE: Exactly. I think many times we’re looking at things literally instead of looking through it through God’s eyes. When we take a step back from our immediate dream and not be stunned by it, or not be fearful of it, or anything like that, if we will take a step back, and look at that dream and say, “Jesus, I want to see this through your eyes.” If we will tie that to Scripture, if we will think about a story in the Bible that I– If I have a dream about fish, and I think about a story in the Bible, I’m going to read every story in the Bible about fish, because that may apply. We’re going to take a step back and we’re just going to ask the Lord, ask the Holy Spirit, and we’re going to apply God’s word to our life, and to the dream.
SID: Now, one of the keys for you to have this revelation to teach us is early on, you had a lot of children. How many?
STEPHANIE: I had six children.
SID: Six children?
STEPHANIE: Yeah.
SID: You wanted to raise the glory level at home, but you’re so busy with diapers and cleaning and shopping and everything else.
STEPHANIE: Yeah.
SID: But God showed you a way.
STEPHANIE: Yeah, so one day I went down to my basement, and I had piles of laundry to do. First I was overwhelmed by that, and then I just remember just leaning over a big pile of laundry and just weeping in that pile of laundry and I just said, “Lord, I’m never going to get everything done. I’m never going to have time to spend with you.” My heart was just really– I just poured out my heart to the Lord. The Lord said to me just as clear as day, “Stephanie, I want to do this with you.” That changed everything. All of a sudden I became a 24-hour prayer meeting.
STEPHANIE: I just realized that the Lord wanted to be there with me and everything He had to say and everything that He had put my hands to was important to Him. From that, I learned to raise the glory level in my home so that- In that glory level, that’s when my children came to Jesus. They didn’t even have to be in the same room. I could be in the kitchen cleaning or making food and I could just begin worshiping and dancing before the Lord. The glory level raises and that is where my five-year-old son came into the kitchen one day when that was happening. It was at dinnertime and I was cooking, but the Holy Spirit was there so strong. He comes in, tears running down his face, he says, “Mama, I want that.” He was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.
SID: You know there is such an interest today in the paranormal and the counterfeit. One reason that a lot of people in New Age love our show is they’re so interested in the supernatural and they don’t realize there is a difference. Why would you want a cheap toy, counterfeit, when you could have the real thing?
STEPHANIE: The real thing.
SID: People are so interested–
STEPHANIE: Right.
SID: -in the counterfeit.
STEPHANIE: If we as believers don’t teach our children the truth about the supernatural and make it available, guess what. Other people will teach them and people that don’t believe in Jesus and the power of God, many people have said, “Oh, we don’t believe in the power anymore. We don’t believe it’s here anymore. It’s not for the church. It’s not for this day and time.” But I’m telling you, it is for today and we must be the ones that train up our children so that they can hear the voice of God, because they are going to need to hear the voice of God very clearly and accurately in their lives. How much more so in the days to come?
SID: You know, one of the things you say is that dreams are like parables.
STEPHANIE: Yeah.
SID: Explain that.
STEPHANIE: Well, how amazing it is that Jesus gives us a storyline in our dream that is so fitting to our circumstances and the things that we know in everyday life. Well, that was how Jesus taught in the Bible. In fact, when you see Him teach in the book of Matthew, all the parables, He uses everything that everybody knew about. He will talk to us in that same way. He’ll talk to us in our language. He talks to us about electronic equipment or things like that that we recognize every day in our own life so that we can relate to it and it’s specific to us. It has details about our own lives that we recognize and we go, “Oh my goodness, that’s about me.”
SID: You teach things in your books and CDs something I’ve never seen before. Do you know what this woman says? She says, “Pay attention to what you or I call pizza dreams.” Pay attention. God is speaking to you. I want to get the answer to that when we come back.
