SID: Okay, I have no doubt when John Paul Jackson was here, he could do a masterful job of interpreting dreams. I have, even though I’ve just met you two because you’ve already demonstrated this for me. I have no doubt that you can interpret my dream or a staff member’s dreams which you’ve already done. But if I read both books, if I listen to the two CDs, what’s going to happen to me when you guys go to Australia?
ADRIAN: Well, you will be left with a body of information or understanding that should take you to the next step. This is not a formula, and this is the be-all and end-all to dream interpretation. Really, the key to dream interpretation is being in-tune with the Spirit of God. Earlier we were talking about the presence of God here. The presence of God is the kingdom. Where the Presence is, the Kingdom is active. And that’s what we need more of. We don’t need a body of knowledge, what we need is more of the presence. We do need knowledge, but we need the Presence of God.
SID: Okay, I have the Presence, but I need the knowledge. [laughs] What’s going on?
ADRIAN: So—.
SID: So you’re saying to me, forget everyone right now. To me, are you saying to me, if I digest everything, I will be able to not be like a blind man driving a car when it comes to dream? Is that what you’re saying?
ADAM: I believe so, yeah—.
SID: But have you got testimonies of people?
ADAM: They do—they do.
SID: Just like average people that go through this, and now all of a sudden, the missing link it there? And now God’s talking to them?
ADAM: They do—.
SID: And bypassing all these defenses?
ADAM: Some of the conferences, well, just about every conference we have letters coming all over the world saying, “Our lives are never the same again.”

SID: [music] Hello, Sid Roth here with Something More, Adrian Beal and Adam Thompson, and I asked a question before we went to break, and that is why isn’t God as pragmatic as me? If he tells me, “Go to the moon”, I don’t know how I would do it, but I would go to the moon! That’s all he has to do, but why does he have to put it in these codes, and these metaphors?
ADRIAN: How frustrating—.
SID: Yeah, can you hear it in my voice? [laughs]
ADRIAN: Just slightly—[laughs] just slightly.
ADAM: [laughs]
ADRIAN: 1 Corinthians, chapter two, verse 13 says that “The Spirit of God teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” And so our understanding of Scripture helps us or becomes the lens through which we look at what God is saying. And so, all that time that we’ve spent in the word is not wasted. It becomes the body of knowledge that God then uses to filter out the picture of what he is saying to us. And so that he is always speaking to believers. Alright, and believers than should be able to—
SID: If I was God, I’d bypass that whole thing, I’m just telling you—[laughs] I would.
ADRIAN: [laughs]
ADAM: [laughs]
ADRIAN: Doesn’t it make it much more interesting? What if the kingdom were such a dimension that we couldn’t understand it? So what he does is he puts it into a story for us, so that we can grab a hold of that story, and envisage that story. Images we hold, images quicker than we do words; as natural, because we’re visual, more visual. And so, therefore, we hold that imagery for a longer time. It’s really important that when you do have a dream, that you write it down because otherwise, it escapes you, doesn’t it after a period of time?
SID: I’ve noticed that myself. And I have a little pad now that I start writing them down, and it doesn’t escape me.
ADRIAN: We advocate that. Sometimes with a smartphone, you can get an app; you could just record your dreams, and so you just speak into it, so you don’t have to find or fumble in the dark to do it. And we, sometimes, we have pens that light up in the dark so that the people can actually write their dream down without waking their partner or their spouse.
SID: Can you shed some more light for me as to why God is doing it this way versus the pragmatic way.
ADAM: Well, because I believe that God, He wants people to seek him out, and to search Him and to have communion with Him. And I believe God puts it in parables so that we can search out the mystery, and it helps us to seek Him out. And I believe that if we don’t understand in the parable, and a lot of people don’t initially, there’s a sign there that we’re not really understanding. We’re not really understanding the language of Heaven. It’s like a language.
SID: It is—.
