Sid: We want everyone everywhere to be as red hot as my guest Dr. Susan Jacob and Susan is a Jewish believer in the Messiah. She was born in Singapore; her entire Jewish family was just preserved; no intermarriage. It shows that when God says he will preserve the lost tribes of Israel He did that. And then they went on a vacation to India and just out curiosity Susan are there… I’ve been told that there are a number of Indian Jews.
Susan: Yes that’s correct and they are based on Cochin in the Southern part of India.
Sid: Isn’t it amazing how God promised to preserve these lost tribes and He did.
Susan: Yes and He does amazing things.
Sid: Now Susan you’re entire family was blessed by God, sometimes persecuted for being blessed by God; did not know the Messiah were taught like any Jew the Messiah hasn’t come. One day you were on vacation to India and tell me what happened to your younger sister.
Susan: My little sister went visiting and she was met with an evangelist. And he shared the good news that Jesus Christ died for all and took all our sins and we will be saved only threw Him. Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. And that word and the word says even that when you hear the truth the truth shall set you free. And she was set free right away. And she was invited to a church and she began to worship the Lord and that was… my mother was drawn and she went to the church and wondering what was going on and she right away heard the word that Jesus the Messiah died for all and took our sins away. And it’s only through Him she will get everlasting life. And she accepted Jesus as her Savior right away. Then and there God began to speak and minister through her. And she even decided to get baptized and came home and she had to face persecution. She was beaten up and considered to be an outcast.
Sid: Who beat her?
Susan: Her brothers and my dad because it’s against the law.
Sid: What was going on with you?
Susan: I was teaching in a University and my little sister said “I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.” It sounded strange to me and I didn’t understand what it meant. I was drawn as soon as I came I felt this incredible power come upon. I knew something exciting is…
Sid: Had you ever experienced power like that before?
Susan: Never! This is the first time in my life and am I glad I tasted the Savior.
Sid: Susan I have to tell you something; and Mishpochah I’ve met Susan in person and you have a brightness is the best way that I can describe it radiating from your face. Radiating especially from your eyes. How long ago did this experience happen
Susan?
Susan: Twenty years ago.
Sid: But you look like it just happened yesterday.
Susan: I’m excited everyday it takes place; everyday He does something exciting because this Jesus is alive!
Sid: Well, and that’s what most people don’t understand; in fact many Christians believe in Jesus but they don’t have experiential knowledge of Him. For instance, you told me immediately you started hearing the audible voice of God. Tell me something that He might have said to you and what happened.
Susan: I remember I was praying for a 95 year old man; my family they were going for a meeting and I said “If God can speak through that minister why can’t God speak to me?” And I asked this individual; he said “Surely He will speak to you.” He told me to go on my knees; I close my eyes and focus on the cross. And right away I heard a loud voice it came like through a thunder and then all of a sudden a quiet voice spoke to me the things that I have to change in my life then I heard a laughter. He’s amazing love and grace was showered upon me; because He loves me he was guiding, teaching and admonishing my life.
Sid: This must have been quite a transformation for a Jewish University Professor to become radically in love with Jesus.
Susan: Oh, He is awesome; He changed my life. As soon as I confessed by the way when we went to the ocean to get baptized He did something incredible in my life.
Sid: Tell me about it.
Susan: When we went to the ocean in fact in two weeks all of a sudden my daddy changed and said “I am coming for your baptism.” And the Hindu’s and the Muslims they all followed us to the ocean. While we were there God did something incredible; I said “Lord,” I said “If I want to be a Christian I want to get Baptized in water and the Holy Spirit and in fire.” People were watching the Holy Spirit was there and I’m reminded of the scripture “Oh taste and see that the Lord is Good.” He is so good; so very good and it’s exciting. As soon as I walked into the water I fell this incredible power come upon me. And something in my heart; I always used to get scared and nightmares. He lifted me out. He said “When you are in Christ you are a new creation; the old man is buried.” And I felt this incredible light of transformation in my life I can’t explain it; it came into my heart. I came out of the water so changed that I right away resigned my job and decided to serve the Lord.
Sid: Now you were an evangelist almost instantaneously you couldn’t keep quiet about Jesus. But there were some Hindu militants that were very upset with you. I mean your life it’s a miracle that you’re alive with what you’ve gone through. But tell me about the time you were thrown off a second story of a building.
Susan: Sure, as soon as I got saved I was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and my parents; everyone got baptized the same day. Then I began to evangelize; I was so excited with the joy in my heart! I don’t know what to do with it so I decided to go all around door knocking with the Hindu’s, Muslims they stoned us. And they threw us and I was thrown because I evangelized and I shared about my Savior my Messiah that He died and He’s risen. He’s alive forever more that these militants they were filled with rage and fury threw me out of the building. And I fell into the…
Sid: Stop for a second; when they were throwing… I mean you’re still a new baby believer they’re throwing you off of the second story of a building. Do you think that was it; what did you think was happening or did it just happen so fast you couldn’t think?
Susan: I memorized the scriptures; Thy word oh God have I hid in my heart. The scriptures began to come into my heart; the word of God. The word of God in Psalm 91 says “Thousand may come at your side 10 thousand at your right hand. No harm will befall near your home.” So I began to repeat the scriptures and I knew that God would take care of me; that’s His promise.
Sid: So you had confidence that even though they were going to throw you off the second story of a building you would be fine. And so it happens; they throw you out. Was it out the window?
Susan: From a second story building; from like they had a terrace.
Sid: Okay, okay and I mean this is it. I mean you’re going to be smashed what happened?
Susan: The Lord; there was somebody down there I believed it was an angel lifted me I did not land on the ground. Then all of a sudden I laid there and the person who put me there disappeared. And that was the angel; the Lord says “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him.” The Lord sent His angel to take care of me.
Sid: Now the thing that… I have to tell you I said this on the TV show Susan I’m going to say it on the radio show. Unfair; you’re Jewish and you’re provoking me to jealousy. The Bible clearly says the Gentile is to provoke the Jew to jealousy. But you’re provoking me to jealousy because not only did you almost immediately hear the audible voice of God; but you continuously hear His audible voice. Now when I say audible voice like with me He’s speaks to me but it’s more like a thought. With you how does it sound?
Susan: It’s like you talking to me.
Sid: That’s it you’re provoking me to jealousy. (Laughing)
Susan: Mishpochah, Susan listen I want to see 100’s and 1000’s of Jewish people just like you radically on fire for Jesus. When this is my conviction; when these Jewish people become believers of the Messiah and come into the congregation the anointing on the Jew will jump on the anointing of the Christian. And the anointing of the Christian will jump on the anointing of the Jew and the two anointings will be greater than the two individual anointings…
