Sid: My guest is red hot for the Messiah I’m speaking to him at his office in Orlando, Florida pastor of Cathedral of Faith Peter Gammons. And Peter there’s so many directions to go in right now but I must find out when you proclaim the gospel in front of Muslims and you say that there’s going to be miracles if there’s not any miracles I imagine you could get killed am I right?
Peter: Yeah you can’t have a nice night in that kind of situation.
Sid: Tell me about one experience?
Peter: I went to health crusades in many cities across the world many places where in fact it’s illegal I held a healing crusade a little while back in one Muslim city where there were two pastors facing the death sentence for 1 to 1 evangelism. And we held it with an estimate of up to 100,000 people in attendance. And some of the keys are we call them a Christian Festival rather than a crusade because that brings memories of the terrible era of the crusaders. A Christian Festival is a nonthreatening thing but we talk about the miracles. On the first night 500 people came to the platform to testify that they’d been instantly healed without me laying hands on any of them I just as I prayed one prayer for the people there to be healed. And it included some senior government officials, it included the Chief of Police’s mother who was blind and her eyes were open and so this began to shake the city. By the second night vast crowds were beginning to travel because the word traveled. And on the second night I actually had an assassination attempt 4 armed gunmen came running down the aisle shooting at me. And the pastor’s grandma had to drag me to the ground and said “They’re shooting at you leave the stage.” I said “I haven’t finished my message yet.” But the incredible thing was because of the miracles that happened the newspaper printed a front page headline that called it a “Jihad a holy war on sickness and disease.” That’s what it is it’s not against flesh and blood it’s against the devil that tries to maim and destroy human life. And…
Sid: Let me take you back a few years ago and you were praying to God “God I need a notable sign.” What did God do?
Peter: God gave me the healing of the deaf and dumb, or the deaf and mute I need to say in America. I was on a TV program one time and I was talking about the deaf and dumb which is of course a term the Bible uses. But in America the term dumb sometimes has a second meaning of being stupid. And this woman called into the TV program and complained and she said “My uncle was deaf but he sure weren’t dumb.” And so I have to be careful now when I use that term perhaps deaf and mute is a more common term here. God gave me that sign of people that cannot hear and cannot speak most of them from birth that in that meeting they instantly hear and speak. And it’s shaken whole cities.
Sid: Tell me about that time in Brazil when 45 deaf and mute people were healed.
Peter: Yeah always on the 2nd night of our crusades in cities I’ve prayed for the deaf and mute to hear. And we encourage people to go out and bring them in from all across the city.
Sid: So on tomorrow’s broadcast now I know that this is going to be by radio but I believe that if somebody has a deaf and mute person in the presence of the anointing on your prayer tomorrow they’ll be healed.
Peter: Yes and we’ll pray for them and believe for them in Jesus name. And what happened was I was invited to preach at the opening crusade for the world’s largest church building. It was open in a city called Cuiaba, Brazil Assembly of God Church with 30,000 seat church and they invited me to do the opening crusade. And they put posters across…the banners across the city saying The Blind See, the Deaf Hear, the Lame walk.” And the newspapers contacted the pastor and said “It better happen or we’re going to expose you as frauds.” Well this panicked the pastor because when you’ve got a new 30,000 seat building you don’t want the press revealing that you’re not real. And so he came to be and said “We better see miracles or I’m in trouble.” And what happened was God worked wonderful miracles, paralyzed did get healed, blind eyes were opened. And on the night that I prayed for the deaf and dumb I lined them along the platform and in that service what happened and this is an interesting one 43 were instantly healed in that service and heard and spoke. I follow what Jesus did Jesus told us to continue on what He began. And what He did was He put His fingers in their ears and He commanded their ears to be opened. And as I put my fingers in their ears I know supernaturally that’s it’s just something a sign that God has given me; I know the moment that they get healed it’s like I feel something in my spirit the moment that deaf spirit leaves and they can hear.
Sid: Have you ever prayed on radio and had people healed?
Peter: I’ve prayed for people many people to be healed and through our radio and television program.
Sid: And what happened?
Peter: I encourage people to lay their own hands on their body where they need healing something I learned from Dr. TL Osborne. We have many many letters of wonderful miracles. And I believe that will happen…there’s somebody who’s listening right now whose deaf in one ear and “Can I pray for them now?”
Sid: Please.
Peter: I just want you to put your finger in that deaf ear tightly so that you totally block it and then when I say “In Jesus name I want you to remove your finger and I believe instantly you’re going to hear…Father I command that ear to be opened now in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Son of God open right now.” Now remove that finger and click your fingers in front of your ear or get somebody to speak in it and hear in Jesus name. And don’t forget to write in or call in and tell us what’s happening I believe people are being healed all across the world right now as we speak the word. I stand against cancer I curse it in the name of Jesus and tell every cancer die and leave your body and for you to be healed right now. And if you’re blind cover your eyes right now I command eyes to be opened in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Son of God. Somebody whose spinal cord was damaged I tell that spinal cord to be repaired in the name of Jesus and for you to be healed and walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Son of God be made whole right now. Somebody’s neck’s being healed right now begin to move it in the name of Jesus begin to move it in Jesus Name be healed right now. Someone’s stomach’s being healed you’ve had continual stomach pains and I command those stomach pains to be made whole right now in the name of Jesus. Cancer of the esophagus I rebuke you and curse you and tell you to leave this body and for that person to be made whole right now. There’s someone’s breathing…there is somebody who had no sense of smell just right now hold your nose I command that nose to be healed in the name of Jesus. And for you to begin to breath now and go get some perfume and smell it and be healed right now in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Head pains continual migraines being healed right now in the name of Jesus. Some one’s teeth there has been a lot of pain in the upper part of your jaw be healed right now in the name of Jesus. I even speak for people to receive supernatural divine fillings in their teeth right now. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Sid: …I want you to prepare the way I want you to pray for everyone right now that when they read this book that you’re words will become flesh because it’s God’s words in here and that their going to have healing of every possible disease. Pray for the people that as they read your book right now.
Peter: Will do that and Brother Sid when we got those books printed I laid my hands and I prayed over every single book individually that the healing anointing will be on those books that as they go to people they’d be touched by the Lord. And so I believe that…
Sid: Well I know as I’m reading this book there are certain truths I mean I’ve read this stories I know these stories as well as most of our listeners but there is a freshness in the way that you’re teaching this. So pray for the people that they’ll be so open to healing, pregnant for healing as they read this book.
Peter: When we read that handkerchiefs went from Paul and they were healed but how much better to not send the handkerchief but send the word of God as well. Father let these books be packed with Your anointing as they would touch people’s lives and bring miracles and healing in people’s lives right now in Jesus name.
Sid: Amen so Peter what’s it like to preach for 4 million people?
Peter: Oh it’s incredible just to see people for miles and miles and it’s awesome in fact in the Philippians where we had 4 million people everywhere the President, the Vice President were there and everybody that ever wanted to be a politician has to be in the services and seen there because of the vast crowds that are there.
Sid: In one of the books that we’re offering there’s a picture of the crowds and I mean I’d never seen such a mass of humanity. How do 4 million people this is like outside, how do you have speakers that can reach 4 million people that’s bigger than a city.
Peter: Well we use the same message as you do it’s by radio everybody brings a radio to the service and we have a 40 foot radio tower on the stage and we broadcast live by radio and people tune in and that’s how they hear. There isn’t a speaker system big enough to reach that kind of mass of people that covered that square miles of about between 4 and 6 square miles of people.
Sid: But how did 4 million people show up to one of your meetings?
Peter: They filled the park where we set up the stage.
Sid: Where was this in the Philippines?
Peter: In Manila.
Sid: In Manila, okay but how did they even know to come to these meetings?
Peter: Well there are meetings that take place every week which my friend runs and he’ll have ½ a million people almost every week of the year there. They come together…
Sid: They don’t do that in the United States I’ve never heard of a meeting with 4 million people in the United States.
Peter: And most of them are Charismatic Catholics who have come to meet with Jesus as their Savior and be baptized in the Holy Spirit. And we preach the same thing you hear the message it’s the same thing that’s preached in any full gospel church. And they’ve come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and they worship and gather together.
Sid: What type of miracles happen at these meetings?
Peter: Just wonderful, wonderful miracles of healing we hear the testimonies on that. You can imagine with 4 million people in a service you can’t invite people to the stage to testify you’d have chaos and so all we know are testimonies that come in later on the reports of the meetings. In our smaller meetings I’ll bring people, when I say smaller meetings I mean several thousand people I’ll people to the stage to testify what God has done and we’ll bring people to check the healings. I have doctors as often as possible that travel with us to verify that a healing has taken place before the people testify. But in a service of that kind of size it’s just impossible and it would just cause chaos if we tried.
Sid: Now I understand that the President and Vice President of the Philippines tried to get to your meeting but there were so many people they had to walk what about a mile?
Peter: Yeah, yeah, yeah they had to leave their limosuine and had to walk over a mile to…
