Sid: I have on the telephone Kris Vallotoon. You would think a Spirit Filled Christian could not be hit with a spirit of fear but I know better I know better personally. Because that’s what happened to me after I became a believer and I learned how to deal with that and they just weren’t teaching on this subject. Well Kris had a problem he opened up himself up to a familiar spirit it was very familiar with him because it worked on his father. His father died by drowning when Kris was 3 years old and when Kris was 22 years of age a voice said to him just out of the blue wasn’t even expecting it. I mean he’s got good job, he’s happily married, his wife expecting the first child and boom he believes a lie and he starts shaking for 3½ years. He never took a drug he never drank and he could only sleep an hour a night but he heard a word of truth on the radio. You getting the message? He heard a word of truth the word was “God has not given you a spirit of rear but of power, love and a sound mind.” And this set him up to realize that he had believed a lie and then the Lord dealt with him and set him totally free. Kris we’re dealing with people that have recognized like you maybe their father died at a young age and they said to themselves “My father died of cancer I’m going to have cancer.”
Kris: Oh boy.
Sid: But that’s just one of so many examples someone’s unhappily married and their wife isn’t spiritual enough and someone catches their eye and they get the thought their wife is going to die and then they’re going to die and then they’re going to marry that spiritual person. What would happen if they don’t come to their senses?
Kris: You know what Sid what happens is that we open the door of our heart and whenever we open the door of our heart like that to the spirit realm to the evil spirit realm we invite evil spirits to come and rest in us. You know Ephesians it says this “Don’t give the devil a place.” Do you know that that was written to Christians right Sid.
Sid: Yes.
Kris: That book was written to Christians like you and me “Don’t give the devil a place.” You know I want I really want to share you know Ephesians 6 is the great chapter about the armor of God. The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, and do on so forth…
Sid: I put that on daily.
Kris: Isn’t it incredible that we have been taught for years that we as Christians can’t be influenced by demons and yet we…and yet we have the teaching of the whole armor of God.
Sid: Now you do realize Kris there are people that have been pounding on their radio saying, “Sid don’t you know that a demon can’t inhabit the Spirit of God and the Spirit of God is in my spirit it can’t touch me? Sid don’t you know that?” What would you say to them?
Kris: I would say that we’re not talking about being demon possessed we’re talking about being demonized to the sense that demons come and share lies with you and when you believe them you give your authority over to them. That’s why and we talked about this for a couple of days Sid but that’s why it talks about in 2nd Corinthians chapter 10 about taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and the weapons of our warfare aren’t carnal and that are actually fortresses that can be set up in our mind places of stronghold. A stronghold is a belief system that keeps you in bondage.
Sid: And you know the example that I usually think of is okay your saying that a Christian can’t have a demon most disease is demonically based not all but most diseases is demonically based. Can a Christian get sick? And so I think you have your answer. But Kris for those that are desperate right now to set the record straight can you pray with them?
Kris: Yes I can. And let me just say this “I want to pray with you out there.” A lot of you out there need to forgive. The scripture we read yesterday Sid Matthew 18 talking about the Lord Jesus said this He said “If you don’t forgive your brother from your heart you open yourself up to tormentors.” And Saul was tormented by a demon in 1st Samuel and it said “The demon was sent there by God.” Unforgiveness opens you up to tormentors. And today as I pray with you there’s a lot of you out there that you need to forgive the people who have hurt you maybe molested, raped you, beat you up treated you bad you need to forgive you need to release them.
Sid: Yes but what if they don’t deserve to be forgiven because they may still be doing those same crimes to other people?
Kris: You know what when Jesus forgave us everything He gave us the premise He gave us the inheritance and that inheritance is our ability to forgive people who don’t deserve it because we were forgiven when we didn’t deserve it.
Sid: Yeah but what if I don’t feel like it?
Kris: Feeling we are a spirit and has a soul that has a body and God wants us to be spirit lead and that means my spirit tells my soul and mind, will and emotions what to think. It doesn’t matter that I don’t feel like forgiving it matters that I take my will and say “I will forgive.”
Sid: Is it important to say it out loud?
Kris: You know I believe it is and I believe that sometimes it’s important to even call the person I don’t believe always but there are times when we need to bring about fruit of repentance at times. And that’s something the Holy Spirit has to lead us through.
Sid: Well let’s do the first stage right now I’m going to lead a prayer right now.
Kris: You do that.
Sid: And you repeat after me everyone that needs to forgive “Dear God” say it right now in Jesus name You have forgiven me of much and because I love You and because You commanded I choose as an act of my will to forgive the following people. And now you tell the Lord who these people are right now. Don’t dig anything up you know exactly who you need to forgive.
Kris: That’ right.
Sid: And you tell you tell them who you need to forgive and you choose, you say “I choose to forgive them right now.”
Kris: That’s right.
Sid: And as they’re doing that Kris what about those that had agreed with a lie about their health, about their spouse, about their children, about their own life.
Kris: Let’s just pray right now that the Lord begins to reveal lie. I pray in the name of Jesus that you would come by the Holy Spirit and that you would reveal the places that were deceived. And Lord I know that the nature of deception is that “I don’t know I’m deceived.” And so Lord I pray that You’d pull back the veil on the eyes of my brothers and sisters and that You would actually show them that You would expose actually expose the lie for what it really is. And I pray right now Lord that as you do that as You would cause them to know reality. That You would cause them to know reality and as they know reality You said that you would know reality and then you will be free. I pray right now as people find the reality that’s in Jesus Christ that’s in the Bible that as they realize that they’ve been lied to that You would free them in Jesus Name. Amen. Just like I got free by just knowing Jesus said “You are clean by the word that I’ve spoken to you.” Lord there are people that are getting freed right now just because of the words that I’m speaking, just because of the words that Sid’s speaking demons are actually existing people’s bodies right now and existing their mind. And right now as we’re talking Sid I sense that there are people that are actually being free from just from murder, from adultery, from hate, from bitterness, from paranoia, from all kinds and colors of fear. And Lord I just thank You for that. You know if you’re getting free right now if you’d just felt freedom come to you right now as we just spoke what you need to do right now is to lift your hands and just begin to thank God. There’s so much power…
Sid: You know I’m feeling the anointing of God it’s almost like a glory cloud of power that is settling on those people.
Kris: Yeah.
Sid: And I believe many people have had the lie of the enemy exposed right now lead them in a prayer right now to break that hold.
Kris: Yes we break the hold of every evil spirit in the name of Jesus. And we say “You’re a lying spirit you get out of the lives of these people and you stay out of their lives. And we cover them right now with the blood of Jesus. I thank You that greater is He that’s in us than he that’s in the world. I thank You that we have authority that we have dunamis and the we have the enthusiast from God, we have authority from God. And Lord I thank You that when we believe the truth that the truth frees us and right now let the Spirit of Truth reign in every single situation in Jesus Name.
Sid: Amen and oh I can tell I’m going just on the anointing and there is a power anointing…
