Sid: Well we just finished the Biblical festival and as we learned last week it’s not just a Biblical, it’s not just a Jewish festival, but they are God’s festivals, makes a big difference. We just finished Passover, Passover is just the perfect shadow of redemption. I mean it is one of the most exciting God festivals that we have so that we can understand the real meaning of redemption, the real meaning of that 3rd cup of wine that Jesus drank at the Passover Seder. It was called the Cup of Redemption, and that’s where we get communion from. If you don’t understand Passover you can’t even understand what Jesus is doing in the New Testament, and you can’t understand the fullness of redemption.
So we had a One New Man Passover Seder. It was hosted by a black intercity church, and we had blacks, and whites, and Jews, and Gentiles that’s why I call it a One New Man Passover Seder just breaking down those walls of division.
You know we prayed and God had more people show up than we sold tickets to because it was a full dinner and we were packed. That was the good news (laughing), the bad news was everything you could imagine went wrong. You ever had one of those days, I guess the world calls it a bad hair day, well we had a bad hair day except it was in the evening. I mean it was it was really hot. The air conditioning they didn’t turn on, then they turned it on when we got there and it didn’t work properly. We ran out of food, but even worse than running out of food, I mean can you picture you pay your $10 for a meal it was sort of a buffet type style you would have to be in a line and you would walk by all the food and you help yourself then you go back to your seat. Well the way it was setup it took almost 2 hours for people to get their food.
Could you picture being in the end of the line and you haven’t had your food yet. You’re waiting, you’re waiting and it’s taking forever and you’re looking at your watch. I know I was looking at my watch (laughing), and saying “Oi vey God what is going on?”
So they finally get there and they run out of food and how out of joint would you be? I knew something, I knew the last table had some non-believers there and that’s the last thing that I wanted to happen.
But guess what? When I got up to speak, I think it was almost 10:00 (laughing) by the time I started. I mean it was awful. I said “God I mean this is such a catastrophe if you don’t show up we have absolutely nothing.” I didn’t even know what to say, I had a prepared message but you know the circumstances were such… and I literally prayed out loud in front of everyone “God you have to show up.” But you know something? Even when things are going right that should be our attitude “Oh God we’re so passionate for you to show up. Oh God there is nothing we can do in the natural unless you show up.”
I had words of knowledge and people started standing up that were healed. One individual stood up and they said their hearing was healed. Another person said they had a lump in their throat and it disappeared. The next day we got a phone call from the father of the man that stood up that said he had his hearing restored, and we found out that he had a perforated ear drum which had permanent damage. A busted ear drum and he got his hearing back.
Oh God I want to be so dependent on You. I know that I am Lord we all know that we’re dependent on You but oh God I want You to show up in my life. I want You to show up in our Mishpochah’s life. We want to be entirely dependent on You. There’s nothing we have in the natural compared to the least thing that You have in the supernatural.
At the end of the message, remember I said (laughing) everything was going wrong that could go wrong I had a song it’s called “Shabbat Shalom.” It’s a happy song and I wanted that Shabbat Shalom to be played, it happened to have been on a Friday night a Shabbat. I wanted that song to be played and the person that was playing the music played the wrong song. He realized after it went you know a few notes that it was the wrong song. So he took it off to put the one on that I had asked him to do and I said “Stop. The Holy Spirit had you do the right song. I want you to play this song.” We played this song which was a mistake but it wasn’t a mistake it was something that God wanted (laughing). See how you have to be so flexible and flow with the Spirit of God it makes such a difference in our lives.
Afterwards, remember the unsaved people I had told you about that were at the last table? Not only had to wait close to 2 hours to get their food but there wasn’t any food when they got there. I’m thinking and I had invited this couple and I’m thinking “Oh what are they going to think?” They came up to me after the service the moment of reckoning and they said “I want you to know Sid when you played that last song I almost melted.” You know what they didn’t understand terminology the anointing, the manifest presence of God came on them so strong that even as non-believers they couldn’t resist the power of God.
I want you to hear that song right now because I was speaking from Exodus 33 in the message. Moses said “Please God show me Your glory.” Then God said “I will make all My goodness” isn’t that interesting God uses the word goodness for His manifest presence. “I will make all of My goodness pass before you.” But He said “You cannot see My face.” The pleading of this song that you’re about ready to hear, and I believe the same anointing will be on you. Is God I want to see Your face but how do we see the face of God when God spoke to Moses and said “You can’t see My face.”
Well do you remember Joseph in Genesis 43:3 and He said “You shall not see My face,” and remember Joseph was a type of the Messiah, and a type of the redeemer. He said “You shall not see My face unless your brother be with you.” You see why it was a One New Man Passover Seder it’s to break the middle wall of petition between Jew and Gentile. Because we will not see the full glory of God, the full face of God until we bring the brothers half of the flesh in to become One New Man in Jesus. Lord show me Your face.”
