AUDIENCE: [APPLAUSE]
KERRY: Well how exciting it is to be in a room that is so tangible, filled with the presence of God like this!
AUDIENCE: Amen.
KERRY: I believe the Lord is wanting to raise our sensibility, the ability to sense what God is doing.
AUDIENCE: Amen!
KERRY: If God could show us things that He’s doing it would change everything! How we thought, how we perceive things and if we could see it differently than we see it in the natural we would pray differently.
AUDIENCE: Yes.
KERRY: Cause we tend to pray what we see because we believe seeing is believing. So how would it be for God to change our vision of how we see things? Proverbs 29:18 says: Where there is no vision the people are scattered. They have nothing to tie themselves to and we usually think that as related to having vision in terms of a ministry or vision for what you’re going to do. But how would it be for God to give you spiritual vision and He’d show you spiritual things to come and that you would pray into those things that were to come. The Bible says that God knows the end from the beginning.
AUDIENCE: Sure.
KERRY: If that’s true then why can’t we know the end from the beginning? So when you come into a problem you’re seeing the end of it, not the beginning of it. Because when we see the problem we tend to fear and we start praying about fear. We start praying through fear instead of seeing how God sees the end of a thing and we pray with a sense of confidence that He’s going to move accordingly.
AUDIENCE: Amen.
KERRY: Remember in Isaiah when the glory of the Lord came upon him and Isaiah was literally, he completely changed. But one moment before that he wasn’t in that and then all of a sudden he came into that and he said I see the Lord high and lifted up and His glory has filled the temple. There was a tangible sensing of that. I really believe the Lord is going to bring people into that way that we can begin to sense at every moment what He’s doing and how He wants to do it. Ezekiel 37 God brings Ezekiel down to the valley of the bones where He said this is the state of Israel and he said what do you see? Many times we see something and we start reporting to God how bad it is instead of reporting to the problem how good God is!
AUDIENCE: That’s right!
KERRY: And when we start speaking to the problem as one who’s in authority to the problem then we find out that God steps into the middle of that and begins to transform it from the inside out. So if the Lord can give us insight as to what He wants to do in your family, individuals and life and we would no longer be praying the problem but we start praying the solutions. Instead of saying God, don’t you see? I’ve been in prayer meetings to where that they pray the problems. God look how bad it is here on planet earth!
AUDIENCE: Yeah.
KERRY: Everybody’s going into problems. Everybody’s going haywire. Nothing working out
economically, politically. Everything’s bad! Back to you.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
KERRY: But He really calls us to declare on earth as it is in heaven and pray the solution. You were dead but now you’ve come alive. You’re blind but now you see. And He’s wanting us to be able to see the way that God sees and sees it through His eyes. And so when you begin to pray for someone you’re not praying for their illness, you’re not looking at their illness. You’re looking at the end result of what God has done! When Jesus said it was finished it meant it’s a finished product! It was a done deal! And so now we need to be able to pray as if something was finished and completed with that all along. So I believe today the Lord is going to give your eyes to see by the Spirit of the Lord what He wants to do and how He wants to do it. And then you begin to move in accordance to that realm right there. There’s a verse in 1st Peter it says this. He’s saying, he’s talking first of all husbands understand your wives. That’s a good thing.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
KERRY: And then the context he goes on saying do not return evil for evil or insult for insult. But instead, or contrary to, instead give a blessing. The word blessing there means to declare something in the way God sees it! And cursing means to declare something lower than what God intended for it to be! So therefore whatever you declare something to be it is either through the eyes of God or you see it through our own eyes or opinions at that point. So if He’s going to show us how He sees it and we’re going to be operating through the eyes of God then what we’re saying is let it be done on earth as I see you seeing it and not as I see it.
AUDIENCE: That’s right! That’s good!
KERRY: And let it be done on earth as You’re saying it, not as I’m saying it, it would change our conversation a lot! I was ministering to a guy one time and he was telling me all the bad things his wife was doing and all the bad things in their life and their family and all that. And I said you created that! And he said what? And I said you’ve created that monster. He said no, I’m just telling you what it is. And I said no, you have the wife you bless or you have the wife you curse! You have made the choice: Life and death is in your tongue and you choose that life or you choose the death. And so you’re going to eat the fruit of it thereof. So he went back home. His wife was at the courthouse filing for divorce. And I told him, I said well you have put her in a position that God never declared her to be. You and God are in opposition. You’re not seeing what God sees therefore you are in opposition to God and you’re cursing your wife! And he’s a good ole boy from Texas and he said I don’t curse! And I said I didn’t say curse [using the man’s accent], I said curse.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHING]
KERRY: You’re cursing her! The Bible says that the accuser or the curser is the devil. You have now come into agreement with the devil!
AUDIENCE: Hmm.
KERRY: You’re thinking like he thinks and you’re saying what he thinks. So he said well I don’t think it changed anything. And I said well then you have the results thereof. So anyway he got to thinking about it and he listened to some CD’s and he went home and his wife came home from the courthouse and the hallway was to where it was elongated and she stepped through the front door and he was at the end of the hall and he pointed to her and he says you are a gift from God!
AUDIENCE: Oh. Amen!
KERRY: God has given you as a helpmate to me and I love you with the love of the Father.
AUDIENCE: Amen.
KERRY: And I am in partnership with the covenant the Father’s given me and I give it to you. I was shocked. He came over and said I want you to meet my wife. I thought he had got him another one since the last time I saw him.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
KERRY: He says we’ve been married 27 years. I thought wow! And she told me the story. She said when I walked through there I had the papers, the divorce papers in hands, and when he said that, the words became tangible and they were tumbling down the hallway and they hit me right here and something went through me physically that all of a sudden I felt like, I don’t know how to describe it except liquid love! I’ve never loved the man from the first day we married.
AUDIENCE: Oh! [LAUGHTER]
KERRY: We got married because I needed someone to take care of me and he needed someone to take care of. And so we’ve never understood that. But when he said that and he blessed me the richness of God came through my body. And she was really having physical ailments because of a broken heart. And she had psoriasis that she had was healed. There was some other ailments were healed in a moment of time and this is why. Because God showed him the way that He sees her and once he saw her the way God saw her he could say to her what God said!
AUDIENCE: Yeah! Amen! Amen! [APPLAUSE]
KERRY: So when the Lord must have opened her eyes to see what He sees and to declare what He declares instead of declaring then rehearsing the problem just simply say what is it that you want God to do! How do you want Him to change it? Because when you continually say they’re not this or they’re not that I’m saying I’m declaring them in a position other than what God declares them to be!
AUDIENCE: That’s right. Amen!
KERRY: I had a family that their son was on drugs. Had been on drugs a number of years and he lost his job and he was living with them. And when he’d come home, stagger in and he would greet them at the door on Saturday night, stagger in and they said you’re going to be the death of me yet! And you’re just killing me and you’re taking all my money. And you’re going to wind up in jail and there’s nothing good going to come out of your life! You’re so stupid for doing that! And he’d stagger off to bed. Ah! Next week came in they would just hurl insults at him and tell him all these things. And I’ve told them I said you’re cursing him! And they said no, we’re just telling it like it is. I said there’s a difference between truth and fact.
AUDIENCE: Yes.
