SID: There’s something that intrigues me about the question I’m going to ask you Tommy, and the reason it intrigues me is, coming from a Jewish background, I never had such good stuff as he had as a child. He had a grandmother and he actually remembers his grandmother pleading the blood of Jesus over him.
TOMMY: Amen.
SID: Tell, tell us just a little bit about your grandma.
TOMMY: I loved to go to grandmother’s house. Uh, I loved to be with her; I loved to be around her. I remember vividly that she only had a fireplace for heat. That was it, there was nothing ever else in her home, like we have today, of course, but she wouldn’t let us go to bed at night until we knelt in her living room and prayed and she put her hands on our head and plead the blood. I’m telling you, we’ve got to get back to pleading the blood. We-we’ve got to get back in our churches, in our homes, in our place of business, uh in your car on the way to work. Lord, today in your car on the way to work, you need to be pleading the blood every time you drive up and down the road uh, …plead the blood of Jesus over that. But I remember it like this: she wouldn’t let us leave for school until she’d plead the blood over us. It rolled to my mother, it rolled to, to, to into, into my life and that, and that’s how I grew up. And I want to see the day today in our churches and in our homes across this nation, and other nations around the world, where we get back to this situation and it is, I promise you, it is coming back. It is coming back big-time, amen. Plead the blood of Jesus, amen.
Lord, I come to You today, and I thank You and I praise You for everything we have or hope to have, most of all for Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, who came. Thank You Jesus for coming to this earth, doing Your assignment that God gave You to do. How do you please God? Do your assignment in the name of Jesus. Thank You Holy Ghost for being here right now to lead us, guide us, and direct us. Use me today for Your glory and honor. We give it to You in everything we do, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Everybody said amen, amen. Give God a praise in the house, come on, don’t patty cake, don’t patty cake! I’m tired of patty cake. Aren’t you tired of patty caking? It is time to praise God, it means praise God. If you, if you go to church just to go to church, I don’t go to church just to go to church, I go to church to worship, but, before I get to church, I’m already in worship a-and so I’m, I’m ready to worship when I get there. The most miracles I see when I’m doing miracle services is when I get to a church and the praise and worship gets everybody involved in the praise and worship. Then that’s when I see the miracles of God happen, when we’re all in one mind and one accord in praise and worship. Jesus did miracle after miracle and people came to worship Him. Worship Him. That’s what we’re going to do today, and we’re going to see miracles in the house.
Exodus 12:13, when I see the blood, “And the blood shall be to you a token on the houses which you are, when I see the blood I will pass over you,” Passover, “and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.” I use that verse physically at my house. I take oil and anoint my doors on my house. I anoint my windows on my house. Any opening I got around my house, I’m going to anoint with some oil so the, so the enemy which comes to steal, kill and destroy, which is satan, when he comes on the scene he can’t enter my house ’cause the blood’s on the doorpost. He didn’t enter the houses in Israel and Egypt, he didn’t enter the, the houses in Egypt because he passed over. What did he see? He saw, he saw the blood. So I’m telling you, put the blood on your doorpost. Put the blood on your doorpost, symbolically by placing the oil on your hand and anointing and everybody that comes in there, worship God in your house. When’s the last time, I’ll get to that in a minute, when’s the last time that you went through your house worshipping God? When’s the last time? I know some of you, you could say, “Okay, I do that every day,’ others of us, maybe we don’t get into that. Uh, we don’t get into the worship, walking through your living room telling the demons, “Get out of my house, you can’t be here.” Walking through, walking through your bedroom, plead the blood of Jesus. Plead the blood of Jesus in your car. Listen I’ve got a CD player in my car; I play CDs in my car as I travel. They’re CDs of worship, they’re CDs of teaching and Bible teaching, they’re CDs of preaching. I don’t listen to no ‘do-wop’ on my radio. I don’t get into the golden oldies unless the golden oldies is “there’s power, power, wonder-working power, in the blood of the Lamb .” Now, I’ll sing that song. That’s a golden oldie. That’s a golden oldie, I’ll get into that one. I get in-some of you can’t spell Gaither, yes, that’s, that’s so far back in your time you can’t spell Gaither. But I can get into the golden oldies when they’re talking about the blood. What shall wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood! I’m telling you we got to get back to pleading the blood! What shall make me whole again? Nothing but the blood! We got to get back into the blood. And when we get back in the blood, we going to see miracles, M-I-R-A-C-L-E-S, miracles, when we start pleading the blood of Jesus.
