ROY: Okay. You said something picked you up.
JENNIFER: Uh-huh.
ROY: And threw you into a wall.
JENNIFER: Threw me against the wall.
ROY: Physically?
JENNIFER: Yeah!
ROY: Physically?
JENNIFER: Physically!
ROY: You were lifted off the ground.
JENNIFER: Off my chair.
ROY: And tossed to the wall?
JENNIFER: Whew! Threw back!
ROY: And your reaction was?
JENNIFER: Well I was in a demonic manifestation so that was – I had no control.
ROY: So what happened after that?
JENNIFER: Well these were ladies who were well-versed in spiritual warfare. It was one of those kind of prayer services in you know in a home of a lady that I was connected to. And so these were prayer ladies, spiritual warfare ladies cause that’s what was popular at the time. And they tried to get me delivered and they couldn’t! So you know I spent about, I’m thinking about 3 hours there manifesting! And [laughs] so when I calmed down enough the one lady who just happened to be my neighbor she took me back home, you know when I was calmed down enough. And basically for you know about 3 months after that I was in a war with this demon spirit trying to get free.
ROY: Wow! So when you’re going through this though, I mean you’re saying this after you’ve received Christ?
JENNIFER: Yes!
ROY: And you were a Christian?
JENNIFER: I was a Christian!
ROY: This was taking place?
JENNIFER: Yes. Which is very hard for some people to accept.
ROY: Yeah! Well talk about that though.
JENNIFER: Well at the time you’re just experiencing it. You don’t have a theology for it. You don’t have doctrine for it. And it wasn’t anything I had been taught. Remember I’m a new Christian.
ROY: Right.
JENNIFER: And I went through a wonderful Baptist church but that’s not what we learned there. Even the Pentecostal church we didn’t learn that there as well.
ROY: Uh-huh.
JENNIFER: They didn’t believe that Christians can have demons and so you know but I was definitely having a problem. I believe it was in connection to my Mormon background which is you know it’s they believe in Jesus but it’s a different Jesus.
ROY: Right.
JENNIFER: And you know there’s different things that – rituals and things that we do in the Temple that I think connected me to some wrong stuff. But I was also dabbling in the occult like a lot of teenagers did. You know do.
ROY: Like Ouija Board kind of stuff and all that?
JENNIFER: Yeah, those kind of things.
ROY: Yeah.
JENNIFER: You know actually connecting to the dark side you know here and there. And so I believe because of those things you know I just had these agreements with demons that I had never severed as a Christian. I didn’t know that I needed to. I didn’t know that you needed to go through a process and in the name of Jesus I repent of that act of sorcery or magic.
ROY: So you renounced it?
JENNIFER: Yeah! Renounced it! Repented of it! But the thing is I think what really stood out to me is that I had to learn my own spiritual authority! I wasn’t going to be able to rely on anybody to do it for me.
ROY: Right.
