Sid: My guest is red hot for the Messiah you would have thought she would have been most her life. She was raised in one of the best Christian Churches in her area in South Africa. She had a wonderful family a wonderful job; she was selected Mrs. South Africa and God spoke to you one day about a mosaic. What did He say to you?
Retha: Oh yes, me and my family were in New York and we went to the United Nations building and there I saw this grand mosaic and you wouldn’t believe all I said to him. This is before the accident; I said to him come and stand here, “Let me take a photo of you. But today when I look at that mosaic it is very prophetic because it’s all the different nations; people in the world. So I took the photo and as I took the photo, God spoke to me and this was a Rhema word because it was in my Spirit and He said to me, “All the broken pieces of your life is nothing more than a beautiful mosaic of your future.” So I bent down and I wrote those words down and yeah, the night of the accident scene as I was lying on the highway those same words came back to me. As I was looking around and all the pieces of the car and I heard the same word. All the broken pieces of your life have nothing more than a beautiful mosaic of your future. And today I can tell you that only the Holy Spirit alone can help you to draw a new mosaic.
Sid: Now the Lord showed you there were several options when your mosaic or the picture of your life is shattered; in your case it was shattered because your son is suppose to be a vegetable, he’s in a coma in the hospital. Your husband is blaming himself for the accident although it wasn’t his fault. And that perfect picture perfect life of yours is all shattered. And what did the Holy Spirit show you they do with their shattered mosaic or their shattered life?
Retha: Yes, God showed me that you have a plate. We are all busy painting a plate of your life at this moment. Some peoples’ plate is just brown and beige, you know our mothers say anything my child as long as it’s brown and beige. And the other plate is colorful and busy and full of stuff; but one day in your life this plate may just drop out of your hand. And I had idea that this plate will drop at the age of eighty, eighty-five but I did not understand and realize that death was breathing in my neck. So the end of what I was explaining of how those plates drop and because of trauma we all do the same thing. We kneel, we bend our knees and you take all the pieces together and then life is about choices because you see God created us to make choices in life; and then you the first guy take all those broken pieces by the guidance of the Holy Spirit you draw a new picture of your life and you take all these broken pieces and you create a new beautiful mosaic of your future. But the other person, he just stayed in those broken pieces and after a year as you pass you will find blood and bitterness and brokenness cause you know, you have to make a choice. Are you going to stand in God’s power or again stand in your own bitterness and agony?
Sid: What we humans try to do is fix it our self and if we can’t fix that mosaic of our life our self, our family is falling apart, our finances are falling apart, a job is falling apart. Our health is falling apart and so we just sit there and have a pity party after we’ve done our prayers and nothing has happened, but you say there is another choice. And repeat that statement the Holy Spirit gave you.
Retha: Yes, the choices that we have to stand up and give everything to the Lord and as the Holy Spirit; as you give your life to the Lord, the Holy Spirit takes your life over and He comes and He draws a new picture of your life. And He comes and He helps you to take all those broken pieces and to put it together again. And believe me, sometimes it takes time to keep this one part to stick but God’s got time. So we create a new mosaic of our lives.
Sid: But here in America we call it instant America and when it doesn’t happen quickly we say well, I guess it’s not going to happen and we just give up and we go back with this bitterness and feeling sorry for ourselves and I love the example in the book, we take the pieces and we try to put it together and the glass starts cutting us.
Retha: Oh, yea and then you are bitter and you are bull of blood and at the end of the day you’re your blaming God. And then it’s God’s fault and everything and as you said we’re living in a two minute noodles time. You know everything is quick fix but I’ve learned from that day on, God’s spoke to me once. He said to me, are you willing to be ruled by the Word of God or are you begin ruled by your emotions and your situation? He says to me choose. So I said to Him Lord I’m a woman who dared to take you on your Word. What that means is that you just need to confirm what’s already in there. You just need to speak it all over.
Sid: How can two walk together unless they be agreed? You say you want to walk with God then be, that’s what you’re saying to me. We must be agreed with His Word.
Retha: Oh yes, because you know with this experience Word I had with God, God said clearly to me always remember my child, it’s not about you on this earth. And this is the problem, we are only seeking God for our own and God’s plan is much much much greater than you can ever imagine. And then God said to me, focus on Me, not on the situation. And I started doing that.
Sid: Let me ask you a question. You could have looked at your son; he’s blind in one eye; he’s not able to walk properly; he’s not able to talk properly; he doesn’t even write properly; he’s laying around in his bed and you could really feel sorry for yourselves so the Lord said, it’s not , about you it’s about Him and focus on Him. What do you mean by that? How do you focus on Him?
Retha: I did not understand this scripture what we so many times say. As in Heaven, let it be on Earth. We don’t understand what we are saying there. What it says is, let Heaven come to Earth. Let let let walk out into an open Heaven; and then one day God spoke to me and He says as Abraham he was staying in a tent. So if you are in your situation and in your tent you focusing in that, but God said of Abraham, come out of your tent, come out look up into the stars, look at the stars count the stars. So God said to me, come out of your situation focus on Me. Focus on the open Heaven and yeah, this is what I started doing. Focusing only on God and then God spoke to me one day. He says the Word of God is the only life that you can only speak cause God is life, God is the Word. And then He took me to Ezekiel 37 where he spoke to Ezekiel and he said to Ezekiel he says to him, do you see those dry bones? Go and speak life into that. God is saying to you today, do you see your dead marriages? Do you see your dead bodies? Do you see your dead lives? Go and speak life into that. You see it is one thing to think that you can breathe, that is not life, breath is not life. If you don’t have the Ruach, breath of God in your Spirit you are dead.
Sid: Tell me about how God began to heal your Son? He’s blind in one eye, what happened?
Retha: He was totally blind in the one eye totally and then one night after the medical people left our house he was lying next to my bed on a mattress and then he woke me and he was trying to write something and he said, “Did you see Jesus?” I said no, I said I had a dream about Him, he said no He was right here; He touched my eye. And I said, well I was so excited, I said, “And can you see now; and he just shake his head and said no. He showed me no. And I put my head in the cushion and I cried out. I said, “Lord, I need a miracle now, now!” He said, “No, my child, you need faith now.” So a week past and I came back one night from a late flight and as I walked into the room he was already sleeping but that blind eye was still opening. And you have to put self into to close the eye at night and it was opened. So I bend down and I prayed quietly in my spirit and the next thing I blew him a kiss with my mouth and he blew me one back and I was like, I said to him out loud. Can you see me? And he just showed with his thumb, yes. And he was writing he said, remember I told you He was here? And you know Sid, this is not even a couple of months ago, we took him back to the doctor and his eyes are 100% but he still used glasses. But now, no glasses. And I cried out, “I said Lord thank you.” He said, “You know what? You learned to focus on me and not on His eyes. You learn to focus on Me, not on the way he walks or talks. He’s in my hands.”
Sid: When Jesus said, “Keep your eyes on Me and I will keep you in perfect peace.” I would image that is good advice and your advice to anyone who’s got a…you had an impossible problem in your hands. It must have been mind blowing when your son started writing messages from Heaven and some of the messages had to do with dreams you had. He knew what was going on in your life. He started prophesying to people. But what did he say you were suppose to do with your life and what did he say God told him in Heaven, he was suppose to do with his life?
Retha: Well, God spoke to me a couple of times about how He wants my life and I did not understand that. But afterwards he came…well what we needed was starts writing, he says, “Mommy Jesus wants your life.” And at that time I gave my life to Jesus and his and he well. Keep on writing and Jesus wants you to go tell the world that He is alive and I know this but he also going to do one day. Because he keeps on writing, I am going to tell the world that Jesus is alive. I am going to tell the world the gospel. I’m going to tell them about Jesus. I’m going to tell them what I saw and this is only passion, his only only passion. And when I just explained to someone the other day, when he starts talking my little Josh would say to me. Is this the only words that he can say? Because the only words that came out of his mouth was holy, holy, holy, holy is he, holy is he. I don’t understand and God showed me every time we saw holy God reveals another level of his holiness. And look at his revelation.
Sid: Listen, were out of time today but there are so many amazing messages that your son has written from God and the name of the book is “A Message from God.” I’m going to tell you what the book will do to you. It’ll cause you to want to sell out to God’s Kingdom and that’s what you want. So you will have the intimacy with God, which is normal.
